2024

Dear Friends,

Spring is in the air and once again, the McFarlane Family is getting excited to ride in the Jack Ride: Canada’s Ride for Youth Mental Health on May 25, 2024. We are reaching out on behalf of our team, The McFarlane Family Foundation, to ask for your support in our fundraising efforts.

The McFarlane Family Foundation has been a proud supporter of Jack.org and The Jack Ride since 2010. From its grassroots 15 years ago to today, Jack Ride: Canada’s Ride for Youth Mental Health has grown into one of the most powerful community events fuelling Jack.org’s urgent work to build a future where young people can thrive in mental wellness. We are excited about this year’s event to not only challenge ourselves on the road but also to make a positive impact for youth mental health.

The McFarlane Family Foundation has a team goal to raise $30,000. We need your support to ensure the success of our fundraising campaign and help us reach our goal. Jack Ride directly funds programs that reach tens of thousands of young people with life-changing mental health education, and your generosity will help them reach their goal of $1.5 million. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help fund Jack.org’s programs—Jack Talks, Jack Chapters, and Jack Summits —which provide young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their mental health, recognize mental health struggles, and support one another through challenging times.

Please visit our team page, or The McFarlane Family Foundation to help support us in this very important cause and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our young people.

We appreciate your generosity and thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

McFarlane Family Foundation Team

2023

Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for your very generous contribution in supporting The McFarlane Foundation Team for the Jack Ride 2023. Because of you, Jack.org is helping thousands of young people across the country as they work to improve mental health outcomes in their communities.

The McFarlane Foundation Team was certainly a collective effort with 23 team members raising $44,000 with 118 individual donations. Truly amazing!

The Jack Ride surpassed its fund-raising goal raising over $2 million for youth mental health. Your generosity is the reason we exceeded our expectations to support the Jack.org community.

Once again, we road “Our Way” – the entire McFarlane clan, including all 8 grandkids did the ride. Attached is the picture of “Our Ride – Our Way”.

Thank you for helping pave the way for greater mental health education and support.

Fondly,

Patti

Our Year in Review
April 2024

Dear Friends,

As we reflect on the past year, the McFarlane family wants to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support and generosity towards The McFarlane Family Foundation. With your help, we have made significant strides in deepening our commitment to others and our goal—Enabling Others to Achieve.

In 2023, your donations allowed us to make a positive impact on our pillars of Health and Education—Canada’s youth mental health crisis, necessary funding for Collingwood’s hospital equipment, and essential programming for individuals with special needs. Here’s where your generosity touched lives with Jack.org, Collingwood General Marine & Hospital Foundation, and Events for Life Centre Inc.

Jack.org
Jack.org is Canada’s only charity that trains and empowers young leaders to revolutionize mental health. Since its inception, The McFarlane Family Foundation has been by their side, supporting their important initiatives. Their specialized programs help educate young leaders to identify and dismantle barriers to positive mental health in their communities, while empowering young Canadians to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other.

Jack.org also hosts its annual Jack Ride – Canada’s Ride for Youth Mental Health, one of Canada’s most powerful community efforts, fueling Jack.org’s urgent work in youth mental health and supporting thousands of young people across the country. The McFarlane Family Foundation has participated in this event every year since it began in 2010, and last year, raised $44,000 thanks to your generous donations. We are proud to participate in this year’s Jack Ride—15 on May 25, 2024. Come out and support our team! Full ride details and registration will be available on The McFarlane Family Foundation website, under The McFarlane Foundation Team page.

Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation
Donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation help bring outstanding care to the communities of South Georgian Bay, to ensure healthcare teams can continue to implement innovative programs and technology to deliver uncompromised care for every patient. In 2023, our donation is being designated to the laboratory in supplying a blood bank plasma freezer.

Events for Life Centre Inc.
Events for Life Centre Inc. began in 2013, and The McFarlane Family Foundation has been a proud supporter from their grassroots beginnings. Donations are made in support of their mission, which is to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs by providing educational, social, and recreational, day programs geared towards lifelong learning. They support individuals with special needs so they may live, learn, and work in an integrated, inclusive community.

We are grateful to have made an impact in 2023 with your commitment. Since our inception in 2008, we have donated $835,000 to those in need. Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities that the new year will bring. With your continued support, we can touch the lives of those less fortunate and give them an opportunity to achieve their goals. Together, we can create positive change and empower those in need—Enabling Others to Achieve.

Once again, the McFarlane family thanks you for your generosity and continued support. Together, we are making a difference.

We wish you and your family a bright and hopeful 2024.

Warmest regards,

Thank you to Harvest Stomp Participants, Sponsors, Donors, and Volunteers,

We were all so pleased that you were able to participate in our tenth McFarlane Family Foundation event at Ceilidh Farm in Clarksburg. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your evening while supporting great causes: Events for Life, Jack. Org and The Canadian Olympic Foundation.

Our silent auction was a huge success, raising the most money to date in support of our charities!

A very special thank you to Monica & Jim Wilkinson, who opened up their beautiful home to us. Also, we would like to extend our thanks to McEwan Foods, and Jennifer Anderson and Sean Kelly from Black Angus Fine Meats, the food was absolutely delicious!

A big thank you to the band The Little White Lies who helped make the evening memorable. We will have to work on our line dancing! Thank you also to: Arlene Dickinson Enterprises, Collingwood Breweries, and Georgian Hills Vineyards who provided us with the beverages and Jeff MacInnis, of Winthinking.org.

It was very special to have with us our guest speakers: Eric Windeler, the Founder of Jack.org and his youth speakers, Mike Hutchings (Farmer Mike) for Events for Life, and Lauren Adams from The Canadian Olympic Foundation. Their talks were very informative and inspiring, thank you!

Please take a moment to watch this YouTube for EFL, it is a very moving testament to them.
Many thanks for such an amazing evening! We can’t thank you enough for your support.
