I want to tell you a little bit of my story. It started back in 2008 when I moved to Calgary after my grade 12 graduation. I had dreamt about going to the Olympics ever since I was a little girl. It took me 5 years to make the National Team. Leading into my first Olympics Games in 2014 my dad coached me because we couldn't afford to skate in a program at the oval in Calgary.

I made my first International appearance that 2013-2014 season and made the Games competing in Sochi, Russia. I finished 31st in my event. It was a tremendous experience that left me hungry for the next four years to come. I have made significant improvements in the last 4 years, skating top 10 and top 5 on a regular basis. This season hitting the podium with my first individual medal (silver) in Stavanger, Norway. These last Olympic Games in South Korea were also a memorable experience, I finished 10th in my event making a bigger splash from the last Games.

These improvements have been so fun and the entire season was an exciting one! There are many people to thank that have helped me to achieve the results that I have today. But this season your family has certainly been with me through every experience and competition leading into these past Games, and I am so grateful!! I know my mom and dad are very grateful too. You are making sport in Canada possible, by creating opportunity and making a difference. Thank you for all that you do to support athletes and encourage our dreams!
